House of Marbles is one of those wonderfully British institutions that feels like it has always been there. It all started in 1973 when founder Robin Sturdy began making wooden board games in a workshop in Chudleigh, Devon, selling them at local craft fairs and county shows. The wooden games were an immediate hit, and the business grew steadily from there. Today, House of Marbles is based in the beautiful Old Pottery buildings in Bovey Tracey, Devon.
